Dallas Cowboys’ Dez Williams is reportedly set to be waived by the team on Monday, according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.
This could result in DeMarcus Warner’s re-signing with the team, and Dez is a free agent in the offseason.
Warner is a talented, physical, physical pass rusher that is likely to be a bargain.
Dez could also be an ideal fit in the Cowboys offense, as he has been on the field for the last two seasons.
The Cowboys need help at the linebacker position, and it’s likely that Dez will be an upgrade.
If Warner is not able to re-join the Cowboys this offseason, it could be a very tough season for the team.
They are coming off of a disappointing season that ended with them being swept by the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship Game.
Injuries, suspensions, and poor performances are going to hurt the Cowboys badly this season.
DeMarco Murray and Ezekiel Elliott are the top players in the league and they both will be a factor in Dallas this season, but the Cowboys are still in a rebuilding mode.
The biggest problem with the Cowboys defense is that they were a top 10 unit in 2016.
The team is still rebuilding and it will take a big offseason to bring the defense back to its top form.
